The Local Temple

·183 words·1 min

On Sunday we visited the local temple. A very beautiful place full of knowledge and wisdom.

Three of our students showed us the temple and together with the people in there they could explain us the essential parts of Buddhist traditions. The temple is about 500 years old and is visited by many locals regularly.

Also interesting: in temple was the first map of the world, that I have ever seen in Qingchuan. I instantly used this opportunity to show the students the location of Europe, Germany and China.
