English Immersion Camp

·125 words·1 min

Since Monday I am working at an English camp for Japanese children organized by Kumon. The camp is at a hotel next to Lake Biwa, which provides an amazing view during breakfast. At the camp we have 88 children who are between 8 and 12 years old. Together with around 20 other students from 20 countries and 10 staff members we entertain the kids all day by using English. It is a very good way to reduce the children’s shyness and to get them in touch with foreigners.

After the six days we will have half day off and then conduct a second camp which will run for four days.

I cannot post any pictures, but the official website can be found here: <http: www.immersioncamp.com=""></http:>
